Xiaomi has launched the all new Redmi Book 16 today among other Redmi items such as the Redmi K70 series and the Redmi Watch 4. In line with what was anticipated, the new laptop is powered by the Core i5-13500H, which is a Raptor Lake-H CPU that was introduced by Intel at the beginning of the year. The MateBook D 16 2024, which Huawei introduced yesterday, is available with two processor options from the same family, all the way up to the Core i9-13900H. On the other hand, the Redmi Book 16 2024 is only equipped with a single 12-core representative.
Moreover, Xiaomi provides a choice of 512 GB or 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage for a price of CNY 4,399 (about US$619) and CNY 4,699 (approximately US$661), respectively. Additionally, the company offers 16 GB of LPDDR5 6,400 MT/s RAM. In addition, the company supplements these components with a battery that has a capacity of 72 watt hours and is capable of receiving 100 watts of power over USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 4). Additionally, the Redmi Book 16 2024 include a 3.5 mm jack, a full-sized HDMI connector, and three USB Type-A connections; however, it does not include a second Type-C connection.
Xiaomi claims that all of these components are contained under a casing that measures 355.2 mm by 248.5 mm by 15.9 mm and weighs 1.68 kilograms. It is arguable that the 16:10 display on the laptop, which is 16 inches across, is the most impressive feature of the device. The IPS panel not only has a resolution of 2,560 by 1,600 pixels, but it also has a peak brightness of 400 nits, 100 percent coverage of the sRGB color gamut, and a variable refresh rate of 120 Hz (60 Hz/120 Hz). Regrettably, Xiaomi has not yet disclosed whether or not it intends to sell the Redmi Book 16 2024 in markets outside than its home market.
