An additional teaser for Realme’s future flagship phone, the GT5 Pro, has been revealed, and once again, the emphasis is placed on the phone’s photography capabilities, with a special emphasis on the telephoto camera. There is also additional information regarding the “industry’s most expensive telephoto setup” that can be seen in the teaser photographs.
The camera will utilize Sony’s 50-megapixel IMX80 sensor, which will be paired with a 3-times optical zoom and an aperture of f/2.6. However, in order to accommodate the huge sensor within a suitable thickness, folded optics were required. It is interesting to note that three-times periscope telephoto cameras are uncommon.
The configuration, according to Realme’s claims, promises a variety of hardware and software advancements that enable a lossless zoom of six times. On top of that, the camera is capable of super zooming up to 120 times.
With a new computing framework and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 doing the number crunching, Realme has been able to achieve a 10% reduction in power consumption and a 44% increase in frame processing speed.
On paper, all of this appears to be extremely amazing; however, we will not be able to find out how the phone works in actual use until December.
