Apple and OpenAI agreement on getting it on iPhone is closer to being finalised, as per the reports. This is part of a larger effort by Apple to bring AI features to their products.
Both the parties have been working on finalising the details to use ChatGPT features on iOS 18. In addition, Apple has discussed the possibilities of licensing Google Gemini chatbot with Alphabet Inc., which is a subsidiary of Alphabet. Although there is confirmation of the same.
As a part of their new AI capabilities addition that Apple plans to introduce next month, an OpenAI pact would make it possible for the company to deploy a popular chatbot.
During the month of April, Bloomberg reported that the conversations with OpenAI had become more intense. On the other hand, there is no assurance that an agreement will be announced at the upcoming events.
It was declined by representatives from Apple, OpenAI, and Google to comment on the matter.
When Apple holds its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June, the company intends to make a mark in the area of artificial intelligence.
According to a report by Bloomberg, the corporation will incorporate the usage of data centres that are outfitted with its very own in-house processors in order to facilitate the operation of some of its forthcoming artificial intelligence capabilities.
Tim Cook, the Chief Executive Officer of Apple, stated that he personally utilises OpenAI ChatGPT.
However, he also mentioned that there were a number of issues that needed to be sorted out.
“We believe in the transformative power and promise of AI, and we believe we have advantages that will differentiate us in this new era, including Apple’s unique combination of seamless hardware, software and services integration,” Cook said during the earnings call.
