WhatsApp is all set to release a new update that will let you delete all unread chats in one go.
As per a report by WABetaInfo, Whatsapp is testing this feature on Android in the beta version. It allows users to clear unread message counts every time they open the app.
Once the feature is live, users will be able to activate it from settings. Where they will be able to find an option labelled “Clear unread when app opens.” The feature will be accessible from “Notifications settings.”
Also it is interesting to note that this feature allows users to clear the unread messages notification without sending the read receipts to the sender. But there are chances that this might be changed in the final version of the app that will be released for the public.
This new feature will be very helpful for the individuals who receive a large volume of messages or are members of numerous groups. It will help them avoid the hassle of opening each chat to clear unread text notifications and will allow them to manage their messages more effectively.
This feature was first seen on WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.11.13. There are high chances that this feature might be inactive for now and will not be accessible for beta users who registered through the Google Play Beta Button.
