Recently, Samsung India has added the support to monitor blood pressure and electrocardiograms for their Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 4 series. Users can enjoy these new features after updating their watches to the latest version and by downloading the app from Galaxy Store. Also these features can only be used with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
Samsung India has launched these features after getting a certification by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), which is part of the Ministry of Health in India.
How To Monitor Blood Pressure
Follow the below steps to monitor Blood Pressure:
Prerequisites:
- Download the Samsung Health Monitor App on your Galaxy Watch and Galaxy smartphone
- Calibrate your Galaxy Watch using on-screen instructions and blood pressure machine
Steps:
- Once you have calibrated the watch with a blood pressure machine, wear it on the same wrist you used it to calibrate.
- Open the Samsung Health Monitor App on your Galaxy Watch.
- Tap on blood pressure, and then follow on-screen instructions to start blood pressure measurements.
- Wait for 30 seconds
- Now you will be able to watch your Blood Pressure on both watch and smartphone.
- Measure it 3 times for a better accuracy.
Note: You will have to re-calibrate it every 4 weeks for best efficiency.
How To Monitor ECG
Follow the below steps to monitor ECG:
Prerequisites:
- Download the Samsung Health Monitor App on your Galaxy Watch and Galaxy smartphone
- Calibrate your Galaxy Watch using on-screen instructions
Steps:
- Wear the watch on your wrist.
- Open the Samsung Health Monitor App on your Galaxy Watch.
- Select ECG and wait for 20 seconds.
- Now you will be able to watch your ECG readings on both watch and smartphone.
- You will also be able to record, analyze, and store data in PDF format.
